Animals are a major group of mostly multicellular, eukaryotic organisms of the kingdom Animalia or Metazoa. Their body plan eventually becomes fixed as they develop, although some undergo a process of metamorphosis later on in their life.

This summer, the editor of the journal «Glacier Park Magazine» Chris Peterson has launched a project with photographs of Glacier National Park in Montana, which runs 100 days from May 1, 2009. The project was made specifically for the slide show in 2010 in honor of the Century Park.

Calling them “man’s best friend” may be a cliché, but no description is more apt to describe the relationship of humans with these fascinating creatures.
