Hilarious Running Basset Hounds

These are probably the funniest running doggies I’ve ever seen. When you see them run in real life, you don’t notice their face expressions but captured on the camera you can see it all. These dogs are around 1-foot in height at the withers. They usually weigh between 35 and 50 lb . They have smooth, short-haired coats but a rough haired hound is possible. Although any hound colour is considered acceptable by breed standards, Bassets are generally tricolor , open red and white , closed red and white , Honey And White  and lemon and white. Some Bassets are also classified as gray or blue; however, this colour is considered rare and undesirable. They have long, downward ears and powerful necks, with much loose skin around their heads that forms wrinkles. Their tails are long and tapering and stand upright with a curve. Tails usually have white tips so the dogs are more easily seen when hunting/tracking through large bushes or weeds. The breed is also known for its hanging skin structure, which causes the face to occasionally look sad; this, for many people, adds to the breed’s charm. The dewlap, seen as the loose, elastic skin around the neck, and the trailing ears, help trap the scent of what they are tracking.

Before you our lovely pets in bathing suits! From the news, you will learn what is fashionable this summer season:) Summer is the warmest of the four temperate seasons, between spring and autumn. At the summer solstice, the days are longest and the nights are shortest, with day-length decreasing as the season progresses after the solstice. The date of the beginning of summer varies according to climate, culture, and tradition, but when it is summer in the southern hemisphere it is winter in the northern hemisphere, and vice versa.

This season’s popular blue and figures on marine issues.

Also, do not give up the bikini.

Greyhound … Up close and Personal

The Greyhound is a breed of sighthound that has been primarily bred for coursing game and racing, but with recent resurgence of popularity as a pedigree show dog and family pet. It is a gentle and intelligent breed. A combination of long, powerful legs, deep chest, flexible spine and slim build allow it to reach average race speeds of, or in excess of, 18 metres per second or 63 kilometres per hour. Greyhound owners and adoption groups consider Greyhounds to be wonderful pets. Greyhounds are quiet, gentle, and loyal to owners. Generally, the Greyhound is not a barker. Occasionally, the dog may bark or ‘roo.’ They are very loving creatures, and they enjoy the company of their humans and other dogs. Whether a Greyhound enjoys the company of other small animals or cats depends on the individual dog’s personality. Greyhounds typically will chase small animals; those lacking a high ‘prey drive’ will be able to coexist happily with toy dog breeds and or cats.

A Breed To Love…Chinese Crested Dog

The Chinese Crested is a combination of a playful pixie, gentle lapdog and sensitive companion. She’s devoted to her family. She is also good with other dogs, pets and strangers. The dog’s demeanor is that of happy and alert. This breed is known for having separation anxiety problems though. If you happen to get a Chinese Crested with a separation anxiety problem, that can be dealt with by investing a few hours of work on your part and some “tough love.”

A Dog – Man’s Best Friend

Even if you’re strictly a  cat lover, it’s nearly impossible not to be moved by the brand of loyalty unique to dogs. Buddhists believe that on the day that the Buddha died, he summoned all animals to his side. Only members of 12 species — dogs among them — reached him before his death. He rewarded those who came with a year of their own, which is why the cat has no sign in the Chinese zodiac. Although not every dog is necessarily friendly by nature, stories emerge from time to time of a dog becoming separated from his or her family and undertaking an incredible journey toward reunion. Dogs are used in therapy for Alzheimer’s disease and in clinical settings as comfort for the terminally ill.

The Cutest Little Puppies

The dog is a domesticated form of the gray wolf, a member of the Canidae family of the order Carnivora. The term is used for both feral and pet varieties. The dog was the first animal to be domesticated, and has been the most widely kept working, hunting, and companion animal in human history. The word “dog” may also mean the male of a canine species, as opposed to the word “bitch” for the female of the species.
